Founder / Nancy Welts Schulte - Nancy has enjoyed a 25-year career in marketing, promotion and public relations. She began her career with the NBA's Seattle Sonics, holding positions in media and community relations, public relations, and sales and promotions. Following the Sonics' World Championship season in 1979, Nancy became the first woman to earn the title of Director of Public Relations for a professional sports team.
In 1984, she founded Nancy Welts Productions (NWP), her own full-service public relations and event-marketing agency. NWP produced major trade shows, civic and ethnic celebrations, and syndicated television programming. NWP also produced fundraising events for more than 30 local and national non-profit organizations, raising over $2,000,000.
Prior to creating Talizon, Nancy was a Senior Director of PRR, a regional marketing and communications firm. At PRR she worked with clients in the public and private sectors to achieve effective marketing and design solutions. Nancy specialized in market transformation programs in the field of environmental conservation and children's health care.
Nancy is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Washington. She and her husband, Paul, reside in Seattle with their daughter, Alexandra.
